Understanding human movement has been my obsession for the last 7 or 8 years.  My goal is to continually expand my education and pursue this obsession so that I can provide the BEST POSSIBLE techniques for my clients.

My goal is optimize human movement to promote better performance, longevity, and resilience.  There are many avenues, systems, and methodologies which promise to do that. They all have their merits and their limitations.  There are MANY healthy and great ways to move your body, there is NO SINGLE RIGHT OR WRONG WAY. There is no such thing as a GOOD or BAD Exercise.

MOVE STRONG

The human body should exhibit: strength, mobility, cardiovascular fitness, and a high level of motor control and coordination.   These 4 attributes must all be present in order to achieve optimal results.  Jordan’s approach utilizes time tested scientific principles of strength and conditioning as the foundation to reach any goal. 

MOVE BETTER FEEL BETTER

Move well, Move often

Train and eat according to YOUR GOALS

Train in accordance with Scientific Principles, not fitness fads

Train Smarter so that you CAN train HARDER for LONGER

Train hard enough to force ADAPTATION but not so hard you wear yourself down and cause injury

Improve/Maintain full mobility of all your joints

Eat like an adult (whole foods)  90 percent of the time

JORDAN’S FITNESS JOURNEY

 As a young kid I was the complete opposite of athletic.  I was chubby, uncoordinated, awkward, and lacked confidence.  I had no success with any sport I tried and as a result lost interest; as with most things in life, you typically don’t enjoy doing things you aren’t good at.   

Despite my lack of athleticism, during adolescence I began training in martial arts, starting with taekwondo and eventually gravitating towards Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA. Around the same time I also  started weight training (even though I was young and didn’t have a proper mentor to teach me how).

As time went on I endured multiple injuries, then recovered, then learned how to move better and prevent them from happening again.  I suffered with low back pain for over 3 years before finally resolving it. Eventually I found that I was becoming universally more coordinated and athletic, even with sports that I never practiced. I could play a game of pickup basketball well enough to have fun, I learned how to ski and snowboard, I picked up various other athletic hobbies.

This epiphany sparked a foundational component of my training philosophy: when you master foundational movement patterns, you get  better at everything automatically. Beyond this, I found that there is great freedom and joy to be found when you become in tune with your body and feel able to pursue any athletic or movement endeavor you wish.
